Porcelain Tiles That Look Like Wood Floors

Porcelain Tile That Looks Like Wood is a new flooring product combining the warmth of natural hardwood floors with the durability of porcelain tile. Such product is the result of decades of research and development done by ceramic tile manufacturers to achieve the likeness as much as in look, also in shape and create a superior flooring product compared to laminate and engineered wood floors.

Porcelain tiles are; Dent and waterproof. Durable, and easy to maintain. Besides, they can mimic every type and color wood floors with a fantastic likeness.

Therefore, the popularity of wood look porcelain tiles is not a trend. They are popular because they are the best alternative for wood like flooring.

Today, wood tiles are available in different sizes. Sizes like 6x24 and 6x36 are too small for seamless interiors and end up with way too much grout. Even though we always favor larger sizes for the sake of seamless floors; sizes over 9x48  are new and they will add to the installation cost. We believe the best value for wood look tile flooring is the sizes like 8x45, 8x48, 9x48 and 10x40.

What Is Porcelain Tile

24x24 White Porcelain Tile
Modern porcelain tiles are the most popular flooring materials across the world replacing all other traditional flooring products such as marble, travertine, hardwood, laminate, engineered wood, and even industrial cement look floors. They look just like the real thing at a lower cost. They are easy to maintain and durable. Besides, large format porcelain tiles have been bringing a more spacious feel to our living spaces. But what this magical product is made of?

Wood Look Tile Is Not A Trend

Forever Tilo porcelain tile with hardwood effect
Porcelain Tile is not the only product that looks like wood. The term “Wood Look” defines a category of flooring products that mimic natural hardwood floors by the look and the shape. This is a category that was dominated by laminate, vinyl and engineered wood floors until porcelain tile manufacturers overcame all the limitations that prevented them from producing tiles that would look like wood.

Larger Tile Lesser Grout

If you have already started shopping for tiles, you have probably noticed that today tiles come in bigger formats than they used to be ten years ago. If you have 20″ x 20″ or smaller tiles in your home, you may be thinking that now it’s the time to upgrade the size and you are considering to go with 24″ x 24″ tiles. Well, we have to tell you that 24″ x 24″ is no longer an upgrade. It’s almost as old as 20″ x 20″ tiles now. Today, the upgrade is 30″x 30″, 32″x 32″ or 24″ x 48″

Concrete Look Floors Are Very Trendy

The simple look of industrial type concrete floors is considered modern and it’s very trendy among people who seek something more than traditional flooring types. Porcelain floor tiles with concrete look make an excellent alternative for this style at a lower cost. They offer the same exact look with minimum maintenance. Also, porcelain tiles are more suitable for residential flooring than high friction concrete.
