Factory recommendation for grout joints for Modern Tile Sassari Pearl is 5/64″ Commun application by many installers is up to 1/16″ grout joints on a mud bed. Grout joints closer than 1/16″ is not recommended for tile installation. Mud bed prevent lip-page and improve the longevity of the floors. Porcelain floor tiles are harder in density than ceramic tiles or natural stone tiles and require 1/16″ thin blade for cutting. We do not recommend Wet-Saw. Porcelain floor tiles can also be installed on any walls, including shower walls. Large format porcelain tiles should be installed with fortified mortar mix (Thin-set)
