The Difference between porcelain and ceramic tile, basically is: “ Porcelain is a better Ceramic”
Technically, the clay used in porcelain production is hardened and made denser through several processes prior to firing. This process results in a denser, less absorbent product. Also porcelain tiles are made with extreme heats that make them significantly stronger than ceramic tiles.
Ceramic Is A Cheaper Product
Ceramic is an older name and most people don’t know the difference between the two products and unfortunately, fall for the cheap price.
We do not sell ceramic floor tiles since we want the best for our customer. However, ceramic tile is still a good option for walls which we carry a wide selection.
