Our History and Our Approach to Business
Tiles By Matthew Inc., doing business as Tiles & Stone Warehouse, began its journey in 2012 as a wholesale company. In those early years, natural stone was in high demand across the construction and remodeling industry. However, the natural variation that makes stone beautiful also created a challenge: most tile stores could not properly demonstrate these variations due to limited inventory and warehouse space.
By the end of 2013, ceramic tile technology had rapidly evolved into modern porcelain tiles. These new products were able to replicate the look of natural stone and many other flooring materials while offering greater durability, minimal maintenance, and more accessible pricing. Recognizing this shift in the market, the company transitioned to retail in 2014 under the name Tiles & Stone Warehouse, expanding its focus on porcelain tiles that would soon surpass natural stone in our inventory.
From the very beginning, our goal has been simple: offer reputable tiles at competitive prices and present them transparently to our customers. Since 2014, we have displayed our pricing clearly on our website, allowing customers to shop with confidence.
