Onyx Flooring Tile Agra D’Oro is another high-end porcelain tile from Italian La Fabrica. This tile has fantastic graphics mimicking a semi-precious stone. Normally we don’t come across semi-precious stones as flooring materials due to hefty cost. Moreover, semi-precious stones require enormous upkeep. On the other hand, La Fabrica’s superior graphics layer decoration makes this beautiful look available for a reasonable price with no maintenance at all. On top of all, Agra D’Oro is available with a mirror-shine polished finish. This is a precious stone made of porcelain that we can use to decorate our interiors.

Polished tiles also undergo a nano sealing process that adds some friction to the surface. Therefore they are not as slippery as shiny tiles.

Porcelain is a product of ceramic with stronger mass. Its density is measured with its water absorption levels. ASTM C1027 is often misused as PEI and most people are under the impression that PEI indicates the tile’s quality. Indeed, ASTM C1027 measures the visual abrasion of the glaze.
ASTM C1027.19 (2019 edition) recommends the following classes
- Class5: Heavy Commercial: suitable for intense commercial and all residential.
- Class4: Commercial: suitable for medium commercial and all residential.
- Class3: Heavy Residential, Light Commercial; suitable for all residential, average abrasion.
However, for commercial floors unglazed through-body or double-charged tiles are more suitable.
