Description

Carrara Prima is a refined white marble-look tile designed for modern interiors that require clarity, balance, and long-term performance. Its surface features minimalist marbling with soft bluish-gray veining, creating a clean, understated appearance that feels contemporary rather than decorative. The restrained movement allows the tile to complement a wide range of architectural styles without overpowering the space.

Available in 48×48 and 24×48 sizes, Carrara Prima supports large, continuous installations across floors and walls. These larger formats reduce grout lines and help create a more unified surface, making the tile well suited for open living areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial interiors where visual continuity is important.

Carrara Prima is offered in both matte and polished finishes to suit different functional needs. The matte finish provides a smooth, low-glare surface that emphasizes the tile’s subtle veining and works well in high-traffic environments. The polished finish enhances light reflection while maintaining a controlled, elegant look, allowing the bluish-gray marble pattern to remain soft and balanced rather than bold.

Manufactured from durable porcelain, this white marble-look tile delivers excellent resistance to moisture, wear, and daily use. Its rectified edges allow for tighter grout joints, contributing to a more precise installation and a cleaner finished appearance. Suitable for residential and light commercial applications, Carrara Prima offers the timeless appeal of white marble with modern color balance and the reliability, consistency, and low maintenance of porcelain tiles.

Where to Use This Tile, and How Tile Finishes Work

Porcelain tile can be suitable for most interior and exterior floor and wall applications when properly selected and installed over a suitable substrate using appropriate setting materials, grout, and waterproofing where required. Under ANSI A137.1, porcelain tile has a water absorption rate of 0.5% or less. In showers and other wet areas, porcelain tile is widely used, but the tile and grout alone do not create a waterproof installation. Proper substrates, setting materials, waterproofing systems, and grout should be selected according to the installation conditions and TCNA guidelines. When slipperiness is a concern, the tile’s intended-use classification and DCOF performance should be considered under ANSI A326.3. Slip resistance alone does not determine safety; water, slope, contaminants, walking speed, and intended use can also affect surface conditions. For exterior areas exposed to direct sunlight, tile color and heat absorption should be considered, along with manufacturer recommendations for exterior use. Movement joints should also be incorporated where required in accordance with TCNA EJ171. Grout-joint width should follow the tile manufacturer’s recommendations and ANSI A108.02 rather than relying on one universal joint size..
