Description

Bedrock Soft White 24×48 Satin is a Spanish porcelain tile featuring a soft white background, delicate natural stone textures, and subtle fragments of rock in gentle shades of beige, brown, and grey. Its understated design creates a calm, balanced appearance without bold veining or strong colour contrasts.

The tile’s surface incorporates small, softly defined mineral fragments and natural variations in tone, capturing the character of sedimentary stone. These fine details add texture and depth while maintaining a light, harmonious appearance. The combination of soft white and warm neutral tones makes Bedrock Soft White easy to coordinate with a wide range of interior colours and materials.

Made in Spain, this 24×48 porcelain tile features a satin finish that offers a gentle, low-sheen surface between matte and polished. The satin finish softly reflects light without creating the pronounced reflections of polished porcelain, allowing the tile’s delicate stone details to remain visible.

Its 24×48 rectangular format is suitable for both floors and walls, offering flexibility for horizontal, vertical, or staggered installations. Bedrock Soft White pairs naturally with wood cabinetry, neutral furnishings, warm metallic fixtures, and contemporary interior finishes.

With its subtle rock fragments, soothing colours, and refined satin surface, Bedrock Soft White 24×48 brings the natural character of stone to modern residential and commercial interiors.

Large-format porcelain tile requires proper substrate preparation, handling, mortar coverage, leveling, and grout-joint planning. For best results, review our detailed installation guide before beginning your project.

Where to Use This Tile, and How Tile Finishes Work

Porcelain tile can be suitable for most interior and exterior floor and wall applications when properly selected and installed over a suitable substrate using appropriate setting materials, grout, and waterproofing where required. Under ANSI A137.1, porcelain tile has a water absorption rate of 0.5% or less. In showers and other wet areas, porcelain tile is widely used, but the tile and grout alone do not create a waterproof installation. Proper substrates, setting materials, waterproofing systems, and grout should be selected according to the installation conditions and TCNA guidelines. When slipperiness is a concern, the tile’s intended-use classification and DCOF performance should be considered under ANSI A326.3. Slip resistance alone does not determine safety; water, slope, contaminants, walking speed, and intended use also affect surface conditions. For exterior areas exposed to direct sunlight, tile color and heat absorption should be considered, along with manufacturer recommendations for exterior use. Movement joints should also be incorporated where required in accordance with TCNA EJ171. Grout-joint width should follow the tile manufacturer’s recommendations and ANSI A108.02 rather than relying on one universal joint size..
