Description
River White is a high-end porcelain tile collection from Refin, crafted in Italy and inspired by the natural interaction between water and stone. Over time, flowing water softens stone surfaces and creates subtle movement and organic patterns. River White captures that refined transformation, offering a surface that feels smooth and balanced while displaying gentle tonal variation across the body of the tile.
Its light gray tone carries the elegance of white stone with added depth, making it adaptable to both modern and timeless interiors. The rectified edges allow for clean installation with minimal grout joints, enhancing visual continuity across large surfaces.
River White is available in multiple formats to suit different design needs: 48×48, 24×48 polished, 24×48 matte, and 48×48 grip. The polished finish reflects light beautifully for brighter interiors, while the matte option delivers a softer, more natural appearance. The 48×48 grip version provides additional surface texture suitable for areas requiring enhanced slip resistance.
Designed for floors and walls in residential or commercial settings, River White combines Italian craftsmanship, durability, and understated elegance in a versatile large-format porcelain collection.

Where to Use This Tile, and How Tile Finishes Work
Porcelain tile can be suitable for most interior and exterior floor and wall applications when properly selected and installed over a suitable substrate using appropriate setting materials, grout, and waterproofing where required. Under ANSI A137.1, porcelain tile has a water absorption rate of 0.5% or less.
In showers and other wet areas, porcelain tile is widely used, but the tile and grout alone do not create a waterproof installation. Proper substrates, setting materials, waterproofing systems, and grout should be selected according to the installation conditions and TCNA guidelines.
When slipperiness is a concern, the tile’s intended-use classification and DCOF performance should be considered under ANSI A326.3. Slip resistance alone does not determine safety; water, slope, contaminants, walking speed, and intended use can also affect surface conditions.
For exterior areas exposed to direct sunlight, tile color and heat absorption should be considered, along with manufacturer recommendations for exterior use. Movement joints should also be incorporated where required in accordance with TCNA EJ171. Grout-joint width should follow the tile manufacturer’s recommendations and ANSI A108.02 rather than relying on one universal joint size..
