Where to Use This Tile, and How Tile Finishes Work
Porcelain slabs are primarily used for interior and exterior walls, fireplaces, shower walls, feature walls, and large contemporary surfaces with minimal grout lines. Their large size creates a seamless and modern appearance that is difficult to achieve with traditional tile formats.
Our porcelain slab collection includes both 3mm and 6mm pressed porcelain slabs. Due to their size and installation requirements, porcelain slabs should only be installed over laser-flat surfaces. Standard self-leveling products are generally not sufficient to achieve the flatness required for proper slab installation.
Porcelain slabs are lighter than natural stone slabs while offering excellent resistance to water, stains, heat, and UV exposure, making them suitable for both residential and commercial applications.

A large part of their popularity especially for bathroom designs is due to their size. Because they can cover the entire shower with ONLY 3 pieces and one small cut piece. As such, a lot of people are also using these slabs for accent walls and bathroom walls.
Porcelain slabs are extruded. Extruction is an old method to make tiles. Usually quarry tiles are extruded.
However, today extruded tiles make a supergroup of tiles compared to regular pressed tiles. They are stronger, much more expensive. While it may be more expensive, Onyx porcelain slab is sure to deliver long-lasting style and quality.
