These extra-large porcelain tiles are becoming very popular among those looking for quality tile. From the style and pattern to the size, Onyx porcelain slab tiles are sure to deliver a flawless design element to your home. A large part of their popularity, especially for bathroom designs, is due to their size because they can cover an entire shower with only three pieces and one small cut piece. As such, many people are also using these slabs for accent walls and bathroom walls.
Porcelain slabs are extruded. Extrusion is an old method of making tiles. Usually, quarry tiles are extruded.
However, today extruded tiles make a supergroup of tiles compared to regular pressed tiles. They are stronger and much more expensive. While they may be more expensive, Onyx porcelain slab is sure to deliver long-lasting style and quality.

Where to Use This Tile, and How Tile Finishes Work
Porcelain tile can be used as floor or wall tile in almost any interior room, except for shower pans. Once installed, porcelain tiles are waterproof, frost-resistant, and heat-resistant. Porcelain tiles are also excellent choices for exterior walls.
Standard matte, satin, and polished finishes usually have similar slip-resistance levels unless the tile is specifically rated as an In & Out or Grip finish.
For pool areas, a Grip finish is preferred. For outdoor areas that may get wet, an In & Out finish is usually the better choice. However, any wet surface can become slippery depending on the angle, speed, amount of water, and how the area is used, so caution is always required.
A DCOF rating above 0.42 is considered the beginning level of slip resistance. Tiles with more surface friction usually attract more dirt and dust, which is why they are generally preferred for outdoor areas.
