Its design contains some white veining over an ivory color background with grey undertones creating a beautiful and striking design. This elegant tile’s color scale is a modern approach to the traditional earth tones, designed to add warmth to grey or white interiors while creating a spacious feel in any room. Allover, it’s a beautiful limestone /marble look tile that will blend with most interior styles and spaces. 24×48 rectified polished porcelain tile from Spain.
Altamura Ivory comes in the 24×48 size with the polished finish
24×48 is one of the most popular tile sizes in the flooring industry. It covers approximately 8 square foot per pieces, which is important to note. When designing a space, the grout and seam coverage can impact how seamlessly tile fits a design. Such a size reduces the seam and the grout on the floor by half compared to 24×24 tiles. Because of the reduced seam and grout on the floor it makes any room feel more spacious than its 24×24 counterparts. If you’re renovating your bathroom, 24×48 porcelain tiles offer a great proportion for shower walls and as a result they are very popular with designers and homeowners alike. As a large format polished tile in this Ivory and Silver color combination, it will definitely make your shower, or any space you use it, stand out.

Where to Use This Tile, and How Tile Finishes Work
Porcelain tile can be suitable for most interior and exterior floor and wall applications when properly selected and installed over a suitable substrate using appropriate setting materials, grout, and waterproofing where required. Under ANSI A137.1, porcelain tile has a water absorption rate of 0.5% or less.
In showers and other wet areas, porcelain tile is widely used, but the tile and grout alone do not create a waterproof installation. Proper substrates, setting materials, waterproofing systems, and grout should be selected according to the installation conditions and TCNA guidelines.
When slipperiness is a concern, the tile’s intended-use classification and DCOF performance should be considered under ANSI A326.3. Slip resistance alone does not determine safety; water, slope, contaminants, walking speed, and intended use also affect surface conditions.
For exterior areas exposed to direct sunlight, tile color and heat absorption should be considered, along with manufacturer recommendations for exterior use. Movement joints should also be incorporated where required in accordance with TCNA EJ171. Grout-joint width should follow the tile manufacturer’s recommendations and ANSI A108.02 rather than relying on one universal joint size..
