Description
Uptown White is a large format polished concrete look tile crafted in premium porcelain and available in large 24×48 and 48×48 sizes. Designed to capture the clean aesthetic of modern cement floors, this tile features a soft white background with subtle gray movement throughout the surface. Unlike marble-inspired designs, Uptown White offers a refined, vein-free appearance for those who prefer a contemporary concrete style without dramatic patterns.
Its polished finish enhances light reflection, helping spaces feel brighter and more open while maintaining the sleek character of a true concrete look. Whether installed in a living room, kitchen, bathroom, or open-concept space, this polished concrete look tile creates seamless, modern interiors with minimal visual interruption.
Manufactured in Spain and rectified for precise sizing, Uptown White allows for tight grout joints and clean alignment, especially in its 48×48 large format. Contrary to common belief, large tiles do not require large homes. Many 48×48 installations are completed in 1,100 to 1,300 square foot condos, and this size can be successfully used in bathrooms as well. Large format polished concrete look tiles can visually expand smaller spaces while delivering a bold, modern statement.

Where to Use This Tile, and How Tile Finishes Work
Porcelain tile can be suitable for most interior and exterior floor and wall applications when properly selected and installed over a suitable substrate using appropriate setting materials, grout, and waterproofing where required. Under ANSI A137.1, porcelain tile has a water absorption rate of 0.5% or less.
In showers and other wet areas, porcelain tile is widely used, but the tile and grout alone do not create a waterproof installation. Proper substrates, setting materials, waterproofing systems, and grout should be selected according to the installation conditions and TCNA guidelines.
When slipperiness is a concern, the tile’s intended-use classification and DCOF performance should be considered under ANSI A326.3. Slip resistance alone does not determine safety; water, slope, contaminants, walking speed, and intended use can also affect surface conditions.
For exterior areas exposed to direct sunlight, tile color and heat absorption should be considered, along with manufacturer recommendations for exterior use. Movement joints should also be incorporated where required in accordance with TCNA EJ171. Grout-joint width should follow the tile manufacturer’s recommendations and ANSI A108.02 rather than relying on one universal joint size..
